The UCI Track Champions League starts in Mallorca on November 6 With the Cycling Elite on track.
Mallorca has been chosen as the venue for the first round of the UCI Track Champions League (UCI TCL) for its fondness of cycling and for attracting thousands of cyclists every year.
The best professionals and former cyclists, choose the Balearic island as a training venue for its roads, natural areas and sports facilities. In addition, great world-class cyclists have been born in the Balearic Islands, such as the Olympians Joan Llaneras, Miguel Alzamora, Albert Torres or Sebastián David Muntaner.
On November 6, the Velòdrom Illes Balears de Palma will host the kick-off of the international competition that will bring together the best 72 track cyclists from the world-wide elite. The multipurpose stage hosted the 2007 World Track Cycling Championships (UCI), and has also hosted other events such as the EuroBasket.
It has a capacity for 6.000 people, and it was inaugurated in 2007 for the World Track Cycling Championship.
In Mallorca, the best cyclists specialized in Track will fight for the leader’s jersey in a competition that will take place over 6 rounds in various cities around the world.
The event has the institutional sponsorship from the Conselleria de Model Econòmic, Turisme i Treball del Govern Balear and from the Fundació Mallorca Turisme, and the collaboration of the Conselleria d’Afers Socials i Esports.
LA UCI TRACK CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (TCL) ARRANCA EN MALLORCA EL 6 DE NOVIEMBRE CON LA ÉLITE DEL CICLISMO EN PISTA
Mallorca ha sido elegida como sede de la primera ronda de la UCI Track Champions League (UCI TCL) por su afición al ciclismo y por atraer a miles de cicloturistas cada año. Grandes profesionales y ex ciclistas, eligen la isla balear como sede de entrenamiento por su sus carreteras, zonas naturales e instalaciones deportivas. Además, en las Islas Baleares han nacido grandes ciclistas de talla mundial, como los olímpicos Joan Llaneras, Miguel Alzamora, Albert Torres o Sebastián David Muntaner.
El 6 de noviembre el Velòdrom Illes Balears de Palma acogerá el pistoletazo de salida de la competición internacional que reunirá a los 72 mejores ciclistas de pista de la elite mundial. El polivalente escenario acogió en 2007 el Campeonato Mundial de Ciclismo en Pista (UCI), y ha sido sede también de otros eventos como el EuroBasket.
Cuenta con una capacidad para 6.000 personas, y fue inaugurado en 2007 para el Campeonato Mundial de Ciclismo en Pista. En Mallorca los mejores ciclistas especializados en Pista lucharán por el maillot de líder en una competición que se desarrollará a lo largo de 6 jornadas en diversas ciudades del mundo.
El evento cuenta con el patrocinio institucional de la Conselleria de Model Econòmic, Turisme i Treball del Govern Balear y de la Fundació Mallorca Turisme, y la colaboración de la Conselleria d’Afers Socials i Esports.

Illes Balears Mallorca
The 6000 capacity multisport venue opened in 2007 and hosted the 2007 UCI World Track Cycling Championships. It also hosted the very first round of the Track Champions League in 2021 where it made its international debut to a packed velodrome in front of hundreds of new track cycling fans.
