Yakovlev Mikhail
biographie
Mikhail Iakovlev (b. 2000) is a Russian-born cyclist who now represents Israel and specialises in the Sprint events at the UCI Track Champions League.
Mikhail’s biggest results to date include the bronze medal he won at the 2021 Tissot UCI Track World Championships in the Keirin, and another bronze medal at the 2021 European Championships in the Sprint. Both those results came whilst representing Russia, but since then Mikhail has switched citizenship to Israel. This has caused major changes to his training, both in location and his coaches, so it will be interesting to see if he can improve upon the third place he achieved at the UCI Track Champions League last season.
