Friedrich Lea

Lea Friedrich (b. 2000) is a German track cyclist who’ll be specialising in the Sprint events at the UCI Track Champions League.
In last year’s competition, Lea finished second to compatriot, and good friend, Emma Hinze in the Women’s Sprint despite winning two of the eight races. This year she’ll be aiming to make it onto the top step of the podium.
Lea has enjoyed an incredible career to date. She earned an Olympic silver medal in the Team Sprint at Tokyo 2020, and since then has also claimed no less than five world titles, winning back-to-back Team Sprint and Kierin events, as well as the 500m Time Trial in 2021.
