Reigning men’s endurance Champions League winner, Dylan Bibic (Canada) had an outstanding showing, picking up two gold medals in the elimination and omnium events. Several riders also claimed podium positions: Theo Reinhardt (Germany - silver in madison), Lauriane Genest (Canada - bronze in keirin), Lily Williams (USA - bronze in madison) and Ellesse Andrews (New Zealand – bronze in team sprint).
The day after securing her bronze medal, Andrews crashed into the track during the sprint semi-final, breaking her collarbone. The 2023 UCI Track Champions League Women Sprint Champion will be hoping to be fit before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. We wish her a speedy recovery!
The athletes will head to Hong Kong (China, March 15-17) then Canada (Milton, April 12-14) for the final two rounds of the Nations Cup.
