Reigning men’s sprint Champions League winner, Harrie Lavreysen (Netherlands) was one of the stand-out performers, claiming two European titles in the keirin and sprint events along with a silver in the team sprint.
On the women’s side, Emma Finucane (Great Britain) also had a successful showing, winning gold in the sprint race and silver in both the keirin and team sprint events.
Two of Finucane’s teammates from Great Britain, Sophie Capewell and Katy Marchant, shared the team sprint silver medal, with Marchant also winning a European title in the 500m time trial.
Other European champions included Anita Stenberg (Norway - gold in Omnium, silver in points race), Theo Reinhardt (Germany – gold in madison), Tobias Hansen (Denmark – gold in elimination race, silver in team pursuit, bronze in scratch), and Tijmen van Loon (Netherlands - gold in team sprint, riding the qualification round).
The following riders also secured medals: Neah Evans (Great Britain – silver in omnium, silver in team pursuit, riding the qualification round), Mateusz Rudyk (Poland – silver in Keirin, silver in sprint, bronze in team sprint), Daan Kool (Netherlands – silver in 1km time trial), Mikhail Yakovlev (Israel – bronze in sprint), Melvin Landerneau (France – bronze in 1km time trial), Jules Hesters (Belgium- bronze in elimination race), Sebastián Mora (Spain – silver in points race), William Tidball (Great Britain - silver in Elimination race), Lowri Thomas (Great Britain - silver in team sprint, riding the qualification round).
