Max to Welcome UCI Track Champions League and other Live Cycling events in the US

UCI Track Champions League and 300 Broadcasts of the Biggest Cycling Race Events to be available for U.S. Max Subscribers via B/R Sports Add-On from 8 February.

Max and TNT Sports, a division of Warner Bros. Discovery, announced that the most expansive roster of live cycling across Track, Road, Mountain Bike, BMX and Cyclocross will be coming to the B/R Sports Add-On on Max for U.S. subscribers starting on 8 February.

Live cycling coverage on Max will include all rounds of the UCI Track Champions League in addition to more than 300 broadcasts of the world’s biggest racing events, including the prestigious Giro d’Italia, 190 days of coverage across the UCI Road Men’s and Women’s racing calendar — including the Strade Bianche (women and men), Tirreno–Adriatico, Milan–San Remo, E3, Tour of the Basque Country, Tour de Suisse Women, Bretagne Classic, Il Lombardia, the Tour de Romandie Women, all race weekends of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series, and more.

All in, Max will be the one to watch for U.S. UCI Track Champions League and cycling fans, offering more live cycling event coverage throughout the year than any other streaming service.

Subscribers will also have access to “The Breakaway”, English-language pre- and post-race coverage for select race events which will harness the most immersive broadcast studio innovations to dissect the action for cycling fans.

Through its global distribution, Warner Bros. Discovery has a proud cycling heritage and is well-known for broadcasting cycling in all its forms to viewers around the world, harnessing the sport’s foremost experts including two-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador, former World Road Race champion Philippe Gilbert, 17-year ex-pro and fan favorite Jens Voigt and 24-time Grand Tour stage winner Robbie McEwen to help better connect viewers with the sport during key events.

The full 2024 UCI Track Champions League schedule will be available on Max in the US and will be regularly updated as the year progresses.

In 2023, the third season of the UCI Track Champions League was broadcast live across the globe on Warner Bros. Discovery’s Sports’ entertainment platforms (discovery+, GCN, Eurosport), with the main events of every round also being shown live on Eurosport 1 International and Eurosport World, in multiple language options. In addition to that, 18 international broadcast partners also screened the series, with a total of 12 free-to-air channels, bringing the sport to many new screens.

The live broadcasts utilised a vast production set up which included spidercams, on-board rider cameras and multiple behind-the-scenes and trackside cameras, allowing viewers to watch the racing from multiple angles and visit areas they wouldn’t normally have access to.

The coverage featured expert analysis from series ambassadors Sir Chris Hoy and Kristina Vogel, as well as five-time UCI World Champion Joanna Rowsell, with live rider data also being beamed to TV viewers courtesy of AWS, Official Cloud Infrastructure provider of the series.
