KATIE ARCHIBALD TO MISS OLYMPIC GAMES

KATIE ARCHIBALD TO MISS OLYMPIC GAMES

2021 and 2023 UCI Track Champions League endurance champion, Katie Archibald will miss next month’s Olympic Games Paris 2024 after a freak garden accident.

The two-time Olympic gold medallist announced on social media that she had tripped over a step in her garden, dislocating her ankle; breaking her tibia and fibula; and ripping two ligaments off the bone.

Katie underwent surgery to pin the bones back together and reattach the ligaments. Unfortunately, she will not recover in time to add more Olympic medals to her name.

We wish our reigning women’s endurance champion a speedy recovery and hope to see her back on the track at round one of the UCI Track Champions League in Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines on 23 November!
