Colombian broadcaster confirmed to offer live coverage of the Union Cycliste Internationale’s innovative new track cycling series

7 October 2021 – Paris, France: The UCI Track Champions League today announces that free-to-air network RTVC (Radio Televisión Nacional de Colombia) will offer live coverage of the Union Cycliste Internationale’s (UCI’s) innovative new track cycling series in Colombia. 

The latest development comes just weeks after the nation hosted the third round of the Tissot UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup, with a strong showing from the hosts in Cali. Millions of avid Colombian cycling fans will now be able to enjoy live free-to-air coverage of each round of the UCI Track Champions League via the network’s popular Senal Colombia channel.

RTVC joins Eurosport, Dutch broadcaster RTL, SBS of Australia and Sky New Zealand alongside a host of further partners set to be announced in the lead up to the league’s first round on November 6th.

Alongside RTVC, the race’s host broadcaster Eurosport is already set to bring the new league to viewers in Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. The agreement with RTVC was made together with Discovery Sports Events, the Discovery-owned event management business and global promoter of the UCI Track Champions League.

This latest move comes as part of the UCI and Discovery Sports Events’ ambition to elevate track cycling to a new level of global prestige and bring the sport to a fresh international audience. 

RTVC TV Assistant Director Adriana Vasquez said: “As many know, Colombia is a passionate cycling nation with a rich heritage in the sport and a dedicated fanbase.
